Authentic Alpine Residence Defined by Privacy, Craftsmanship & Enduring Design

Inspired by the warmth and authenticity of a European chalet, this exceptional mountain residence offers a compelling alternative to today’s more expected mountain modern aesthetic. Rich natural materials, hand-finished stone, reclaimed wood, and extraordinary Austrian millwork create interiors that feel inviting, layered, and deeply connected to their alpine surroundings.

The home balances timeless craftsmanship with a livable, welcoming floorplan tailored for both everyday comfort and multi-generational gathering, thoughtfully designed by nationally recognized architect Doug Dechant and built by award-winning Beck Building Company.

Living unfolds naturally through a series of beautifully proportioned spaces designed for connection, retreat, and year-round enjoyment. Fireside gathering areas, intimate dining spaces, custom woodworking, and expansive windows create an atmosphere that feels both refined and relaxed.

Multiple patios, outdoor fire features, and private terraces extend the living experience outdoors, offering peaceful places to enjoy morning light, summer evenings, and the surrounding mountain environment throughout the seasons.

Ideally positioned near Vail Village, the ski mountain, Vail Golf Club, and Ford Amphitheater, the residence enjoys immediate access to Bravo! Vail, the Vail Dance Festival, hiking and biking trails, downhill and Nordic skiing, and year-round recreation. Set within one of Vail’s most established residential enclaves, the setting offers a rare balance of convenience, privacy, and natural beauty.

A home of this character is increasingly hard to find — one where craftsmanship, atmosphere, and authenticity take precedence over trend. 1187 Hornsilver Circle represents a more enduring vision of Vail living: warm, timeless, and designed to be experienced for generations to come.

Vail Golf Course

Vail Golf Club

Set at the base of the Gore Range, the Vail Golf Club offers a distinctive and scenic 18-hole, par-71 experience in the heart of the Vail Valley.

Widely regarded as the valley’s most walkable course, it is open to the public and features a full-service pro shop, group and corporate outings, professional instruction, a driving range, practice facilities, and advanced swing analysis. The Grill on the Gore complements the experience with Rocky Mountain fare in a relaxed clubhouse setting.

Recognized by Golf Digest as a “Top 100 Resort Course,” the course traces Gore Creek and borders the White River National Forest, blending pristine alpine surroundings with refined design. Originally designed and built in 1962 by Vail pioneer Ben Krueger, it continues to be regarded as one of the Vail Valley’s premier courses — a must-play for locals and visitors alike.

Vail Nordic Center

When winter arrives, the Vail Golf Club transforms into the full-service Vail Nordic Center. Seventeen kilometers of daily-groomed skate and classic track wind through the valley floor, complemented by 10 kilometers of scenic snowshoe trails.

On-site rentals include skate and classic skis, alpine touring equipment, fat tire bikes and helmets, as well as backcountry skis and snowshoes. The center also offers full-service retail and a welcoming lodge for changing, warming up, and gathering after a day on the trails.

Located within the Vail Golf & Nordic Clubhouse, the Grill on the Gore serves signature soups and chili for lunch, along with snacks and hot drinks — an inviting place to recharge.

An evening race series and larger weekend events provide opportunities for spirited competition, while daily lessons and specialty clinics in classic and skate skiing offer instruction for all ability levels.
